Description

  • Lead projects that update pay structures or address regulatory requirements.
  • Provide specialist advice, technical guidance, and frameworks for business areas with complex compensation arrangements.
  • Recommend suitable pay structures.
  • Gather and analyse market data.
  • Contribute to business cases.
  • Advise on exit packages, annual pay reviews, bonus processes, remuneration design, reward policies, and benchmarking.
  • Design bank-wide pay structures that balance fixed and variable compensation.
  • Partner with business heads to shape fixed pay, including pension and benefit provisions.
  • Share responsibility for the annual pay review.
  • Give HR ExCo and bank-wide leaders expert analysis and constructive challenge on compensation.
  • Oversee approval processes for compensation and severance requests.
  • Work with colleagues and social partners on employee relations matters related to Reward.
  • Deliver against financial plans and budgets, including forecasting, resource allocation, and prioritisation.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of experience in compensation and benefits.
  • Experience in banking, regulatory, or commercial settings.
  • Knowledge of HR theories, models, and best practices, and how to apply them.
  • Expertise in compensation, regulatory reward, and governance practices.
  • Knowledge of regulations affecting reward and benefit structures.
  • Understanding of how attraction and retention relate to Reward and the employee value proposition.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to turn analysis into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal policies, regulations, and risk management.
