Remote Account Manager, Immunodiagnostics – UK

Lead Thermo Fisher Scientific’s allergy and autoimmune diagnostics business across the UK Midlands and Northeast. Manage customer accounts, tenders, contracts, and territory sales.

Description

  • Grow the Allergy & Autoimmune market and retain existing business against agreed targets.
  • Manage and expand customer accounts throughout the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Clinical, Technical Services, and Application Specialist teams.
  • Build customer relationships and oversee contracts and tenders.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting and territory planning.
  • Keep account plans and customer records accurate and current in SFDC.
  • Record activities and meetings promptly and accurately in SFDC.
  • Negotiate capital sales and reagent rental contracts, and coordinate service contracts with Contracts & Tender and Technical Service teams.
  • Lead tender responses and engage primary MSPs through site visits and regular business reviews.
  • Use SFDC and Power BI to support forecasting and planning.
  • Conduct onsite stock checks for Cost Per Reportable customers.
  • Build relationships with and engage Key Opinion Leaders across the territory.
  • Share market intelligence with the Sales Manager, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across the organization.
  • Follow internal Quality Processes and CRM requirements.
  • Attend internal and external meetings and events as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred.
  • Five years of sales experience, ideally in laboratory, scientific, or healthcare sectors.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Technical understanding of customer applications and workflows.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic planning ability.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Customer-facing position requiring most working time with customers in person and 50–75% travel.
