Payment and Compensation Program Administrator

Administers compensation and payment programs supporting Equitable’s wealth management advisor teams. Oversees financial modeling, onboarding, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and operational improvements.

Description

  • Act as the primary field-facing subject matter expert for the Collective Firm Payment program
  • Advise on eligibility, team structures, financial modeling, payment calculations, and ongoing administration
  • Lead the administration and development of firm-level compensation and advisor teaming programs
  • Manage and monitor the shared mailbox for Collective Firm Payment inquiries
  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to complex and escalated issues
  • Serve as the primary contact for new firm onboarding, ongoing firm maintenance, and participant updates
  • Manage eligibility and onboarding for firms and individual participants
  • Track eligibility, team changes, agreement execution, and payment setup
  • Coordinate startup discussions, financial modeling, agreement execution, and implementation for newly qualified firms
  • Identify, document, and communicate process exceptions
  • Develop, implement, administer, and evaluate firm-level compensation and teaming programs
  • Design and improve compensation programs using financial modeling, payment calculations, trend and cost analysis, and compensation package design
  • Assess business processes and implement improvements to accuracy, efficiency, controls, scalability, and program effectiveness
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and deliver sustainable process improvements
  • Improve compensation reporting, payment reconciliation, financial transparency, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with Wealth Management, Field Compensation, Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders
  • Create and maintain program documentation, agreements, contracts, schedules, procedures, field bulletins, guidelines, and educational materials
  • Deliver education, training, and support to operations teams, administrative staff, advisors, and leaders
  • Build strong working relationships with Financial Professionals, field leaders, and internal business partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least five years of experience with retail wealth management operations and advisor compensation programs
  • Experience with GDC statements, PC statements, W-2 reporting, and 1099 reporting
  • Knowledge of advisor teaming structures
  • Knowledge of compensation methodologies
  • Understanding of financial modeling principles
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex business challenges while balancing operational, financial, and compliance considerations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities, projects, groups, or activities
