Merchant Support Specialist – German
Retain high-value Austrian-market merchants by resolving KYC documentation gaps and supporting accounts through phone and email. Help protect merchant revenue while maintaining compliance.
Description
- Help prevent merchant cancellations by securing missing KYC documents and information from high-value accounts.
- Review account documentation.
- Protect merchant volumes and revenue.
- Maintain compliance and controls.
- Share effective practices and support colleagues.
- Serve merchants by inbound and outbound phone and email.
Requirements
- Apply strong critical thinking, analytical ability and time management.
- Communicate clearly in writing and conversation, and build effective relationships.
- Be fluent in written and spoken German; English and Spanish are advantageous.
- Bring close attention to detail and an adaptable approach to problem solving.
- Be available to work schedules that meet business needs.
- Have experience in account management or KYC/AML checks, preferably by phone.
- Bring knowledge of compliance practices as an advantage.
- Organize work and set priorities to meet goals.
- Take responsibility and ownership of work.
- Show determination and confidence, and contribute to team success.
- Be eligible to work in Spain for American Express; visa sponsorship is not available for these roles.
- Pass a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
