Market Client Relationship Manager, Merrill Wealth Management

Lead client service, branch operations, and wealth management strategy for a Merrill market. Manage teams, compliance, advisor support, responsible growth, and operational performance.

Description

  • Direct the market’s service model, digital capabilities, and wealth management banking strategy
  • Coordinate with the Home Office to maintain a high standard of client service
  • Collaborate with market leaders, Financial Advisors, Resident Directors, and wealth management support teams
  • Pursue sustainable growth while controlling regulatory, financial, operational, and reputational exposure
  • Oversee Wealth Management Client Associates, operations support personnel, and branch operations
  • Put market strategy plans into action
  • Work with advisor teams to provide a consistent service experience using digital and enterprise resources
  • Act as the market’s lead and referral coordinator while overseeing market spending
  • Help develop Elite Growth Practice positions and wealth management and operations talent
  • Supervise branch Wealth Management Client Associates and service support personnel
  • Direct daily Merrill branch operations, supervision, compliance, and procedural execution
  • Expand the business through the service model and wealth management banking strategy
  • Recruit, develop, and lead cross-functional teams that support Financial Advisors
  • Coach employees in digital-first service delivery and operational excellence
  • Address complex and escalated client service or operational issues
  • Represent the office and Merrill to clients, prospects, candidates, vendors, regulators, and external counsel
  • Find ways to connect Financial Advisors and clients with broader enterprise resources
  • Oversee processes, data, risk, talent, budgets, and business results

Requirements

  • Hold the FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 66 or Series 63 and 65, and Series 9 and 10 or Series 8 licenses; Series 3 and 31 are also required when applicable
  • Bring at least five years of professional experience
  • Merrill Wealth Management experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrate initiative and a client-focused approach
  • Possess advanced knowledge of regulatory, supervisory, and corporate policy requirements
  • Understand investment products such as 401(k) plans, options, annuities, tax and retirement planning, money funds, mutual funds, liabilities, margin, and trust operations
  • Have experience analyzing trends
  • Communicate clearly and provide strong customer service
  • Apply effective management skills in planning, monitoring, influencing, negotiating, supervising, and delegating
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred
  • Meet the minimum education standard of a high school diploma, GED, secondary education credential, or equivalent
  • Be able to work onsite under the workplace excellence policy if selected
