Contract Compliance Analyst - Salt Lake City Hybrid

Support FamilySearch’s genealogy-records and data-sharing operations by applying contract guidance, Excel analysis, JIRA, and AI tools. Assess publication and third-party sharing decisions for legal compliance across jurisdictions.

Description

  • Track and document metadata issues in JIRA
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and close tickets promptly
  • Review attorney interpretations of current and legacy contracts at scale
  • Assess whether third-party data sharing is permitted and identify applicable conditions
  • Apply legal guidance to practical scenarios involving compliance and risk
  • Analyze attorney-provided statutory guidance across large datasets
  • Verify that published family history records meet applicable national and international laws
  • Compare factual data with legal requirements across jurisdictions
  • Learn and use multiple internal systems
  • Analyze, track, and report on very large datasets in Excel
  • Use AI tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of contract and compliance work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in data governance, compliance, business analytics, or related areas
  • Proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
  • Ability to identify and resolve data issues quickly
  • Understanding of contract, data-sharing, and publication-rights concepts
  • Ability to interpret attorney guidance and apply it to practical situations
  • Familiarity with family history records, including their types and typical content
  • Experience with JIRA or comparable issue-tracking tools
  • Ability to learn and navigate multiple internal systems and emerging technologies, including AI tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong interest in research and analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
  • Self-directed, focused, and committed to delivering accurate work on schedule
  • Growth mindset with the ability and willingness to adapt and continue learning
  • Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy
