Bilingual Employee Relations Consultant – California Remote

Land O’Lakes seeks a bilingual Employee Relations Consultant to manage investigations, compliance, and workplace risk for its California workforce. This full-time remote role follows Pacific Time and includes up to 20% travel.

Description

  • Conduct fact-finding workplace investigations, evaluate risk, and recommend appropriate outcomes
  • Apply California employment law to resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Lead sensitive, complex, and high-risk workplace investigations
  • Evaluate organizational risk and guide leaders toward appropriate resolutions
  • Coach leaders on employee relations decisions and investigation outcomes
  • Partner with Labor Relations, Legal, Global Security, and business leadership
  • Advise leaders and HR partners on complex employee relations matters
  • Counsel leaders on investigations, performance issues, and ADA reasonable accommodation requests
  • Deliver training on employee relations, investigations, and workplace accommodations
  • Improve and standardize processes while expanding employee relations tools, resources, and best practices
  • Review case trends and perform post-case follow-up
  • Strengthen employee relations practices, processes, and organizational effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • At least five years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a related area
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of California employment law
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information
  • Residence in the Pacific Time Zone
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to California field locations
  • At least five years of experience leading workplace investigations preferred
  • Experience advising senior leaders and influencing decisions on complex, high-risk employee relations matters preferred
  • Experience in unionized manufacturing, distribution, or production settings preferred
  • Experience with employee relations case management platforms such as HR Acuity or NAVEX EthicsPoint preferred
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and fulfill commitments
  • Adaptability and confidence leading through ambiguity and change
  • Sound judgment and influence in complex workplace situations
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to establish trust and influence stakeholders at every organizational level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
