Senior Microsoft 365 Collaboration and Messaging Engineer - Washington Hybrid

EDETEK Inc. seeks a senior engineer to architect, administer, integrate, and support Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and enterprise messaging services. The role leads Tier 3 troubleshooting, security and compliance support, automation, and collaboration technology projects in a hybrid Washington setting.

Descriere

  • Act as a senior technical authority for the architecture, engineering, integration, administration, and Tier 3 support of Microsoft 365 collaboration services, with a primary focus on Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams.
  • Design, integrate, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft 365 services across cloud, on-premises, networking, security, and third-party environments.
  • Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound mail flow, including routing, SMTP, connectors, DNS and MX records, DMARC, S/MIME, mail gateways, and system integrations.
  • Resolve complex Exchange Online, Teams, email, Microsoft 365 application, connectivity, configuration, and integration issues through Tier 3 support and escalation handling.
  • Lead integrations between Microsoft 365 and non-Microsoft 365 applications, SaaS and cloud platforms, vendors, and enterprise systems.
  • Investigate collaboration-service connectivity and performance problems while coordinating resolution with network and infrastructure subject-matter experts.
  • Lead projects involving new Microsoft 365 features, services, integrations, and architectural changes within a large enterprise environment.
  • Apply PowerShell and Microsoft 365 administration and automation tools to troubleshoot problems, automate recurring work, monitor services, and support enterprise operations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, configuration records, troubleshooting procedures, and related technical materials.
  • Explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical teams, leadership, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Cerințe

  • Senior-level practical experience engineering and supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration and messaging environments.
  • Thorough understanding of end-to-end email delivery and messaging architecture.
  • Advanced hands-on expertise with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, enterprise email, and messaging architecture.
  • Working knowledge of SMTP, connectors, DNS and MX records, DMARC, S/MIME, mail gateways, and integrations with enterprise applications and external SaaS platforms.
  • Understanding of how Microsoft 365 cloud services depend on on-premises infrastructure, networking, identity and security services, SaaS platforms, vendors, and enterprise applications.
  • Networking expertise sufficient to investigate collaboration-service connectivity and performance issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools, including Microsoft Purview, Defender, Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention, eDiscovery, Audit, retention policies, records management, and information governance.
  • Experience with PowerShell and other Microsoft 365 administration and automation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Preferred experience includes Google Workspace, Proofpoint Archive, Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate, Google Vault, AppScript, Google Cloud Console, email-platform migrations, and advanced SharePoint Online expertise.
