Desktop Engineer – Plano Hybrid

Descriere

  • Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Windows computers, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, docking stations, displays, and conference room technology
  • Investigate and resolve hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, VPN, Microsoft 365, and business application problems
  • Install, configure, image, deploy, upgrade, repair, and replace endpoint equipment and components
  • Set up user profiles, printers, Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, VPN access, and multifactor authentication devices
  • Assist remote and onsite users with prompt issue resolution and a positive support experience
  • Conduct scheduled checks and maintenance for boardroom technology
  • Apply approved AI capabilities to increase support efficiency and improve the user experience
  • Deploy operating systems, applications, updates, and security patches using SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Intune
  • Build and maintain task sequences, application packages, device collections, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and security baselines
  • Configure and maintain Windows Autopilot for endpoint provisioning
  • Review deployment outcomes and resolve failed installations and endpoint management problems
  • Support operating system upgrades, hardware refreshes, endpoint enrollment, provisioning, retirement, and decommissioning
  • Maintain software inventories, compliance reports, hardware records, and asset documentation
  • Handle incidents and service requests within SLA targets through ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira
  • Record diagnostic procedures, resolutions, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles
  • Escalate complex problems and coordinate with relevant technical teams until resolution
  • Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID accounts, permissions, groups, Microsoft 365 licensing, and identity requests
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and Application teams to sustain a secure and standardized computing environment
  • Travel occasionally to company locations as needed

Cerințe

  • An associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least three years of enterprise desktop support experience
  • Professional experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 in an enterprise setting
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, Group Policy, remote support tools, BIOS and firmware administration, imaging, deployment, and hardware diagnostics
  • Experience supporting printers, peripheral equipment, and mobile endpoints
  • Familiarity with macOS laptops
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, customer service, communication, prioritization, collaboration, time management, and detail-oriented skills
  • Current authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided
  • Preferred certification: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Microsoft 365, or CompTIA A+
  • Preferred experience with Dell and HP enterprise hardware
  • Preferred experience supporting Apple iOS and Android devices
  • Preferred knowledge of VMware or virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI)
