Senior Data Science Lead - AI/ML and LLM | Brillio | Hybrid India

Lead enterprise AI initiatives at Brillio, developing LLM applications, agentic systems, and production machine learning solutions. Drive Databricks, MLOps, LLMOps, and cloud-based model delivery in a hybrid India role.

Description

  • Design and deliver advanced machine learning and AI solutions, including LLM applications and agentic systems, that solve complex business problems and produce measurable outcomes.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and operation of highly available, scalable AI/ML and GenAI models across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Build and optimize AI agents and autonomous workflows with robust memory, context management, and multi-agent architectures.
  • Lead enterprise AI/ML workloads in Databricks using AI Agents, Model Serving, Vector Search, MLflow, and Unity Catalog.
  • Establish MLOps and LLMOps practices covering CI/CD, model lifecycle management, experiment tracking, evaluation, and monitoring.
  • Develop and implement RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation frameworks.
  • Apply AI security, responsible AI, data privacy, and guardrails to address hallucinations, prompt injection, and other GenAI risks.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical direction while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Requirements

  • At least eight years of experience in AI/ML engineering, machine learning, data science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced hands-on programming experience with Python.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Strong practical knowledge of machine learning and AI fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying LLM applications.
  • Expertise in agentic AI, including orchestration, autonomous workflows, tool or function calling, planning, task decomposition, memory, and context management.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks AI Agents and the broader Databricks ecosystem.
  • Experience with MLOps and LLMOps, including CI/CD, model lifecycle management, experiment tracking, and production deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and operating AI/ML or GenAI models and applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Expertise in RAG architectures, embeddings, vector databases or vector search, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
  • Proficiency with LLM and GenAI frameworks or orchestration tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or comparable technologies.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Certifications in machine learning, AI engineering, data science, cloud platforms, or MLOps are preferred but not required.
