Senior Compensation and Data Analyst

Lead compensation strategy, market pricing, and HR analytics at Niagara Bottling, a bottled-water manufacturer. Oversee compensation programs, audits, and data integrity across PayFactors and Workday.

Description

  • Advise teams on compensation principles, policies, and procedures.
  • Assess organization-wide pay practices and programs, then recommend practical improvements.
  • Lead complex compensation analyses and present insights, scenarios, and recommendations to HR leaders.
  • Direct company-wide compensation projects and plan annual cycles, including merit reviews.
  • Manage project plans, schedules, communications, data controls, and stakeholder coordination through delivery.
  • Price roles against the market, select benchmarks, recommend job levels and classifications, and set pay ranges.
  • Record compensation methods and the rationale behind pricing decisions.
  • Review job descriptions and recommend changes that support accurate market pricing and internal equity.
  • Set and maintain procedures and data standards for governance, version control, document upkeep, and audit readiness.
  • Compile and submit company data for compensation and total rewards surveys.
  • Improve processes and introduce scalable reporting and operational practices.
  • Work with HR and Legal on compensation compliance reviews and audits.
  • Reconcile PayFactors and Workday data and maintain integrity through audit controls.
  • Investigate root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Turn business needs into requirements, support system configuration and testing, and deliver reporting and self-service improvements.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience analyzing compensation and/or administering compensation programs.
  • At least four years of experience as a compensation analyst or in a comparable role.
  • At least four years of experience managing projects and delivering results with multiple stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience may combine work and education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resources, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data validation.
  • Experience developing repeatable reports and analyses.
  • Experience using HRIS and compensation platforms such as Workday and PayFactors.
  • Ability to turn business questions into data-informed insights.
  • Preferred: At least six years of experience analyzing compensation and/or administering compensation programs.
  • Preferred: At least six years of experience as a compensation analyst or in a comparable role.
  • Preferred: At least six years of experience leading compensation projects and/or annual compensation cycles.
  • Preferred: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credential or another compensation-related certification.
