Description

  • Build and lead the AI Platform support function
  • Track the health, latency, availability, and error rates of AI services, model endpoints, and related infrastructure
  • Investigate and resolve incidents such as API failures, rate limits, and declining model output quality
  • Lead root-cause investigations and document blameless post-incident reviews with corrective actions
  • Join the shared on-call rotation for production AI services
  • Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and logging for LLM workloads
  • Track token consumption, latency, costs, and evaluation results
  • Improve deployment pipelines for models, prompts, agents, and RAG components
  • Operate vector databases, embedding workflows, and data-ingestion jobs
  • Automate recurring support activities and operational runbooks
  • Provide escalation support for AI platform issues reported by delivery teams and clients
  • Maintain runbooks, knowledge-base content, and user documentation
  • Share recurring problems and improvement opportunities with engineering and product owners
  • Support platform onboarding for new teams and clients
  • Define the technical foundations, architecture, and product direction for the broader AI and agentic programme

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in platform support, SRE, DevOps, or production support for cloud-hosted services
  • Practical experience supporting applications that use LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Working proficiency with containers and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to script and automate with Python plus Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience using observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor
  • Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Terraform
  • Sound understanding of REST APIs, authentication, networking fundamentals, and log analysis
  • Demonstrated incident-management experience, including preparation of post-incident reviews
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working with RAG architectures and vector databases
  • Familiarity with agent and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or MCP
  • Experience with LLM observability and evaluation platforms such as LangSmith, Langfuse, Arize, or Weights & Biases
  • Experience hosting or serving open-weight models with platforms such as vLLM, Hugging Face, or SageMaker
  • Awareness of AI governance and regulation, including the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, and GDPR
  • ITIL, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, or cloud certifications
  • Consultancy or client-facing delivery experience, preferably in regulated industries such as energy or financial services
