Remote Unity UI Technical Artist at Virtuos in Ukraine

Virtuos is seeking a Technical Artist to implement optimized, pixel-accurate Unity UI for game projects. The role translates Figma designs into responsive interfaces, animations, and reusable components.

Description

  • Partner with UI artists, designers, and developers to deliver accurate, efficient interface implementations
  • Own the integration, setup, optimization, and delivery of Unity UI assets from artist handoff through completion
  • Convert Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive Unity interfaces for multiple platforms and resolutions
  • Create and maintain reusable UI components, prefabs, and layout systems
  • Develop interface text, animations, transitions, pop-ups, and micro-interactions
  • Profile UI performance, resolve implementation problems, and maintain technical quality throughout development

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to implement pixel-accurate layouts, export assets from Figma, navigate design layers, and apply UX and interaction principles
  • Strong command of Unity UGUI and UI Toolkit, including Canvas, RectTransform, anchors, layout groups, masks, adaptive layouts, prefabs, and 9-slice sprites
  • Working knowledge of TextMeshPro, including text styles, fallback fonts, localization-ready layouts, materials, and inline sprites
  • Experience with Animator and animation workflows, screen transitions, pop-ups, and micro-interactions
  • Knowledge of Sprite Atlases, batching, draw calls, Canvas optimization, RectMask2D, raycast targets, and profiling with Unity Profiler and Frame Debugger
  • Experience using Git and Perforce
  • DOTween or DOTween Pro scripting experience is advantageous
  • Basic C# skills for integrating UI logic are advantageous
  • Experience creating custom UI shaders with Shader Graph is advantageous
  • Readiness to learn Unreal Engine is advantageous
