Client Relationship Manager, Commercial Risk – Life Science

Manage commercial insurance programs, renewals, compliance, and coverage strategy for life science clients. Build trusted relationships and coordinate advisory services in a hybrid role serving Boston and Philadelphia.

Description

  • Serve as the primary contact for client relationships and ongoing account needs
  • Evaluate client requirements and design tailored commercial insurance coverage solutions
  • Direct renewals through coverage reviews, benchmarking, loss and exposure analysis, and alternative program design
  • Manage onboarding, renewals, policy issuance, compliance updates, and policy records
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state insurance regulations
  • Coordinate with carriers and vendors on contracts, proposals, issue resolution, and policy administration
  • Lead new-client onboarding and support engagement with C-suite stakeholders
  • Partner with Client Success Specialists, advisors, carriers, and internal teams
  • Prepare client-ready coverage summaries and risk reports
  • Plan and facilitate renewal meetings
  • Refine processes, tools, and workflows while escalating issues to leadership
  • Support renewal planning, service coordination, milestone tracking, client inquiries, submission materials, document reviews, exposure validation, workflow planning, billing questions, endorsement requests, and audit discrepancies under general supervision

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial insurance programs, ideally within a brokerage environment
  • Strong analytical ability and practical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing projects and priorities effectively
  • Consistent focus on delivering high-quality client service
  • Working proficiency with agency management systems such as Applied Epic, Microsoft Office, Excel, AI-enabled tools, and digital workflow platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, finance, or a related discipline
  • Active state Property & Casualty license
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in commercial insurance and account management
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance processes, coverage structures, exposure analysis, and renewal workflows
  • Experience working with offshore teams or third-party partners is preferred
