CAPTRUST Financial Planner (Hybrid, Virginia)

Create financial plans, lead client reviews, and provide investment guidance to CAPTRUST clients. Build trusted relationships while supporting clients’ portfolio and planning needs.

Description

  • Prepare tailored financial plans for clients.
  • Conduct client review meetings.
  • Investigate and resolve clients’ financial concerns.
  • Answer client questions and provide responsive service.
  • Identify opportunities to grow assets under management among existing clients.
  • Secure referrals from current clients.
  • Keep calendars current with appointments, tasks, and internal meetings.
  • Track developments in the news, markets, and economy.
  • Build relationships with centers of influence and other professionals.
  • Follow applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Create and update files, databases, records, and other documentation.
  • Use standard office equipment and required software.
  • Attend assigned client events, which may take place outside office hours.
  • Act as clients’ main point of contact.
  • Lead client reviews and present and update financial plans.
  • Explain CAPTRUST’s investment approach to clients.
  • Provide clients with a trusted FARM advisor experience.

Requirements

  • At least six years of relevant industry experience.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Four-year degree in business, preferably with a focus in finance or accounting.
  • Ability to assess, research, interpret, and discuss investment, financial, macroeconomic, and security-specific data.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to explain information to a financially sophisticated audience.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle numerous time-sensitive tasks at once.
  • Ability to delegate work, follow up effectively, and contribute in a team setting.
  • Ability to develop productive, collaborative, and trusting relationships.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately in concise, respectful written and spoken form.
  • Demonstrated integrity and objectivity.
