Handle high-volume, low-complexity auto claims for USAA’s military-focused insurance services in an entry-level role. Evaluate damage, negotiate settlements, support members, and assist with catastrophe operations.
Tavsif
- Apply coverage guidance to investigate, evaluate, and settle high-volume, low-complexity auto claims involving repairable vehicles.
- Resolve claims through proactive problem-solving and sound decisions within authority limits and under direct supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of damage assessments, investigations, negotiations, and settlement decisions.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to advance claim resolution and establish clear expectations.
- Assist members, claimants, and business partners through multiple communication channels and digital tools.
- Build and use foundational knowledge of P&C insurance products, policy contracts, coverages, services, and claims procedures.
- Use basic Auto Physical Damage knowledge in claim handling.
- Help manage workload surges and catastrophe response activities, including scheduled on-call coverage and work beyond standard hours.
- Handle varied claim types, including more complex cases, and complete other assigned responsibilities.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate business risks in line with risk-management and compliance procedures.
Talablar
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to one year of customer service or military experience.
- Obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days, with up to three attempts permitted.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working across several business applications.
- Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.
- Availability to support workload surges and catastrophe response, including mandatory on-call dates and possible evening, weekend, or holiday work outside normal hours.
- Willingness to travel for CAT deployments with minimal notice during designated catastrophes.
