Affordable Housing Development Coordinator – Remote

Coordinate LIHTC-funded affordable housing projects from due diligence through certificate of occupancy and final regulatory filings. Manage financing applications, budgets, approvals, consultants, construction activities, and project closings across multiple states.

Tavsif

  • Support the profitable delivery of multi-state affordable housing developments, primarily financed through Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, from project inception through certificate of occupancy
  • Coordinate a portfolio of projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast through due diligence, applications, construction, and conversion
  • Prepare and submit LIHTC, FHLB, and other applicable federal, state, and local funding applications
  • Perform financial feasibility analyses for development projects
  • Maintain project budgets, complete sources-and-uses schedules, and update monthly cost-to-complete projections
  • Support the VP of Development in securing municipal project approvals
  • Lead coordination with external architects, engineers, and other design professionals
  • Manage the completion of external market studies, appraisals, and related project analyses
  • Review third-party contracts and invoices and coordinate their approval
  • Support pre-syndication, equity, construction loan, and permanent loan closings
  • Coordinate project details with Construction, Property Management, Legal, Accounting, and Insurance teams
  • Represent the owner at construction meetings and address design, scheduling, permitting, professional responsibility, and draw-review issues
  • Approve hard-cost draws and support soft-cost draw submissions to funding partners
  • Review construction change orders and recommend approval
  • Identify regulatory requirements for certificates of occupancy and direct completion of the necessary responsibilities
  • Oversee construction punch lists and confirm completion of outstanding work
  • Help prepare final project costs for Form 8609 issuance and regulatory agreement filings

Talablar

  • Three or more years of experience in planning, real estate development, financial services, or a related combination of fields preferred
  • Experience in affordable housing is strongly preferred
  • Project management experience is required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop projects through completion
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with Dealpath and Yardi Voyager preferred
  • Strong mathematical and financial aptitude
  • Prior underwriting or budgeting experience preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; business or planning majors preferred
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
