Operations Manager, Events – Saudi Arabia (Remote)

Operations Manager responsible for physical and digital B2B events for Tahaluf, Saudi Arabia’s major event organiser. Oversees budgets, suppliers, compliance, and operations teams across Portfolio 3.

Descriere

  • Act as the primary contact for show teams on assigned events
  • Set, forecast, and deliver operational show budgets
  • Lead operations and technical delivery for multiple physical and digital events, features, and related activities
  • Manage show project plans, production, implementation, and deadlines
  • Ensure events meet company Health & Safety, Security, and Sustainability standards
  • Implement internal and external Service Level Agreements
  • Oversee production and distribution of the exhibitor manual
  • Coordinate suppliers, show teams, and sponsors on briefs, design, feature production, and signage
  • Manage registration areas and the complete attendee welcome experience
  • Prepare post-event reports and KPI analysis
  • Monitor key contractors with Procurement and arrange corrective action where needed
  • Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports and other EMEA Operations team members
  • Set and review performance objectives and identify training requirements
  • Work with colleagues on operational planning and management best practices
  • Complete HSS Operating Model requirements and build continuous improvement into event planning
  • Partner with Informa Health & Safety and Sustainability teams

Cerințe

  • Degree-level education or equivalent qualification
  • Strong spoken and written Arabic and English communication skills
  • Five years of experience in events, exhibitions, or a comparable industry
  • Track record of independently managing operations for multiple large events to a consistently high standard
  • Experience managing, supporting, and developing several direct reports at the same time
  • Sound knowledge of the exhibition industry and event venues
  • Established working relationships with official contractors
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Operations team members and Director-level stakeholders
  • Understanding of effective procurement practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Ability to anticipate issues and develop contingency plans
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail under pressure
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work across different time zones, particularly in EMEA
  • Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of exhibition Health & Safety guidelines
  • Computer literacy, including commonly used business and project management software
  • IOSH Managing Safety Certificate or equivalent at minimum
  • Experience managing large budgets is advantageous
  • Relocation and sponsorship support are not provided
