Staff Recruiter - Mozilla (United States, Remote)

Mozilla is seeking a Staff Recruiter to lead complex technical hiring for staff and leadership roles in a remote United States position. The role partners with senior leaders, sources specialized talent, and guides high-level candidates through the hiring process.

Description

  • Manage the full candidate experience for staff-level and leadership positions, including complex negotiations, equity education, and competitive counteroffers.
  • Develop and deliver targeted sourcing strategies for scarce talent in technical communities including Rust, browser engine architecture, and privacy-preserving AI.
  • Advise VPs and Directors on talent matters, applying hiring data to inform organizational design and multi-quarter workforce planning.
  • Improve recruiting processes through Career Level Guides (CLGs), supporting consistent candidate assessment, leveling, and calibration.
  • Support long-term succession planning by engaging potential candidates for future critical roles and sustaining a strong, diverse talent pipeline.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience overseeing the complete recruitment lifecycle for technical positions in a high-growth or open-source setting.
  • A demonstrated ability to create proprietary talent maps and secure senior candidates through mission alignment and advanced negotiation.
  • A proven history of applying role-level expectations to calibration sessions that produce consistent and equitable hiring decisions.
  • Strong capability to partner with senior leaders on performance objectives and talent-pipeline development opportunities.
