Senior Narrative Designer, Unannounced Game

Description

  • Develop a complex narrative world while preserving its vision and consistency.
  • Help define, develop, and maintain the game’s narrative voice.
  • Write, revise, and polish dialogue, text, and other in-game narrative content.
  • Identify narrative challenges and work with colleagues on creative solutions.
  • Find effective, engaging ways to present the world, characters, and story to players.
  • Integrate narrative content into the game engine and track revisions so content remains visible and traceable across the project.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in narrative design, video game writing, or a related field.
  • Professional experience as a writer, screenwriter, or narrative designer in the video game industry.
  • A sound understanding of core game design principles and how they apply to game development.
  • Excellent ability to develop and communicate clear narrative concepts and build coherent, engaging stories.
  • A sound understanding of how narrative supports game mechanics and contributes to player engagement and retention.
  • A strong understanding of visual storytelling and its role in creating immersive experiences.
