Operations Support Specialist - Remote

Remote Operations Support Specialist supporting cybersecurity monitoring infrastructure for U.S. government networks. The role troubleshoots security devices, cloud services, hardware sensors, and customer issues.

Description

  • Triage incidents involving network security device monitoring
  • Resolve lower-tier support requests and escalate issues when necessary
  • Investigate and reproduce customer problems involving CIS monitoring services, cloud applications, and cybersecurity products
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and customers on technical troubleshooting, device maintenance, and service outages
  • Configure, inventory, and ship Albert hardware sensors
  • Coordinate action items with Security Operations Center Analysts and other teams for after-hours and product-related work
  • Deliver responsive support to internal stakeholders and members
  • Support issue reproduction, fix and workaround testing, and quality assurance for new and enhanced products
  • Complete other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • At least four years of experience as a security administrator, network administrator, or equivalent practical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of security methodologies, processes, and technical solutions, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and network and security applications
  • Extensive experience using Linux and Windows command-line tools
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting applications in Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Additional relevant experience, or an associate degree combined with relevant experience, may substitute for the bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of Unix operating systems
  • Experience with Perl, Python, Ansible, and Bash
  • Knowledge of IDS technologies such as Suricata
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
