Billing Operations Analyst

Manage customer billing, revenue reporting, and financial controls for Twilio’s global communications platform. Support month-end close and investigate complex billing issues.

Description

  • Maintain the Revenue Team’s customer email inbox and respond to customer and external inquiries.
  • Set up customers in Twilio’s billing and financial ERP systems.
  • Prepare large raw datasets for customer billing reports and inquiries.
  • Support month-end close, recurring billing, approvals, customer credits, revenue-related balance sheet analysis, and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Help develop and implement financial controls and revenue and invoicing processes.
  • Take part in internal and external audits.
  • Resolve billing inquiries and investigate customer issues independently.
  • Provide the Sales team with detailed analysis of customer issues.
  • Use Excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
  • Explain complex issues through Slack, Salesforce, and calls.
  • Meet team service-level agreements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with other teams to address the root causes of customer issues.
  • Provide support to other Billing Operations teams as requested.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in billing, revenue, or order-to-cash operations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Experience with Oracle, Zuora, and Salesforce is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience processing high transaction volumes with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, and ability to work with very large raw datasets.
  • One to three years of experience in an operations role.
  • Availability for periodic weekend work.
  • A tertiary qualification in accountancy, finance, or a business-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Based in Mexico City, Mexico.
