Associate Operations Manager, Embedded Consulting Services - Singapore (Hybrid) | Control Risks

Manage embedded security consulting operations for Control Risks in Singapore, supporting client delivery across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. The role covers resource planning, consultant support, engagement administration, commercial coordination and regional growth.

Description

  • Lead daily operations for a major embedded security programme in Singapore, meeting client requirements, contractual commitments and Control Risks standards.
  • Support embedded consulting delivery across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
  • Serve as a primary operational contact for consultants and client stakeholders, escalating strategic, commercial and personnel matters as needed.
  • Oversee project administration and business operations for client engagements, maintaining accuracy, consistency and compliance with internal procedures.
  • Identify and implement improvements to operational processes, delivery effectiveness and service quality.
  • Partner with the Business Operations team to uphold high standards of project administration.
  • Support resource planning by maintaining consultant databases, workforce planning tools and deployment records.
  • Assist with consultant selection, recruitment, onboarding, training, contracting and regional deployment.
  • Work with HR colleagues to promote effective onboarding and a positive employee experience.
  • Keep consultants supported, engaged and connected with Control Risks throughout their assignments.
  • Support consultant performance management and professional development to strengthen operational capability and develop future business leaders.
  • Help improve resource management tools, processes and information systems for clearer, more accessible consultant data.
  • Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders to enable successful programme delivery and lasting partnerships.
  • Recognise client needs and opportunities for further support, working with colleagues to deliver effective solutions and outcomes.
  • Support commercial administration for embedded consultancy engagements, including contracts, renewals, extensions and revenue management.
  • Help produce proposals, scopes of work and other commercial materials to a high standard.
  • Contribute operational insight, resource planning and solution design to business development opportunities.
  • Support ECS leadership in managing and expanding the Southeast Asia Embedded Consulting Services portfolio.
  • Coordinate with regional and global colleagues to maintain effective communication and delivery across engagements.
  • Build relationships with business decision-makers and senior managers, identifying opportunities for collaboration and operational improvement.
  • Progress toward independently managing client engagements and operational portfolios while supporting continued growth of the Embedded Consulting Services business.

Requirements

  • Experience in operations, project management, consulting, security, intelligence, government, military or another fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational ability and experience managing competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • A track record of developing and sustaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercial awareness combined with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently, apply sound judgement and deliver high-quality results.
  • Careful attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving processes and performance.
  • Interest in security, geopolitical and business issues affecting the Asia Pacific region.
  • Experience supporting large-scale operations, service delivery teams or security operations centres is preferred.
  • Experience with recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning or people management is preferred.
  • Experience preparing proposals, budgets or other commercial documentation is preferred.
  • Experience in a regional or multinational organisation is preferred.
  • Project or commercial management capability.
  • Degree-level education or relevant commercial experience.
  • Proficiency with IT tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • A security or risk consulting qualification is preferred.
  • Southeast Asian language skills are preferred.
  • HR or people-focused qualifications or experience would be beneficial.
