HR Applications and Solutions Database Administrator – DLA Hybrid

Administer and secure databases supporting the Defense Logistics Agency’s Human Resources Management systems for federal IT contractor B&A. The role covers database programming, performance, backups, and systems integration.

Description

  • Provide sustainment support for the Defense Logistics Agency’s Human Resources Management applications and IT systems
  • Administer computerized databases
  • Define long-term database administration and design needs
  • Design, build, and maintain client/server databases
  • Execute database quality assurance and audit activities
  • Guide users on database access
  • Maintain complex databases, data dictionaries, standards, procedures, file storage designs, and system integrations
  • Develop and maintain database programs
  • Support system design, performance optimization, security, backups, and tuning
  • Attend periodic meetings at DLA headquarters or other locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area

Requirements

  • Five or more years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, or MS Access
  • At least three years of hands-on experience with relational database management systems
  • Experience working with multiple operating systems and additional programming languages
  • Experience administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases across at least two projects in a large organization
  • At least two years of experience with federal Human Resources IT systems
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • One qualifying Computing Environment certification or credential from the specified Microsoft or Oracle certifications
  • An active Secret clearance adjudicated within the past five years
