Geospatial Management Analyst - Washington, DC Hybrid

Support Avid Core’s federal law enforcement client with GIS analysis, mapping, data management, and related operational support. This full-time hybrid role works onsite across client locations in Washington, DC.

Description

  • Support government operations with GIS activities, requirements analysis, field support, equipment deployment, and facility-maintenance initiatives
  • Build and maintain static and web-based GIS solutions
  • Deliver complex GIS analyses and mapping projects for national security operations
  • Extract, transform, and load data into GIS databases
  • Independently develop GIS tools and applications, conduct advanced analyses, and produce multilayered maps using GIS software suites and other programming environments
  • Contribute to SharePoint, Power BI, and informational database development
  • Handle additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • At least three years of GIS experience supporting a public-sector client
  • Strong knowledge of GIS workflows and database fundamentals
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Outstanding editing and data-analysis skills, with close attention to complete and accurate client deliverables
  • Advanced proficiency with the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Pro
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required federal security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field, plus GIS experience

  • Experience analyzing data and creating Power BI tools and dashboards is preferred
  • Experience serving federal, state, local, or other public-sector clients is preferred
