AML Specialist in Madrid (Hybrid)

Join CSC as an AML Specialist in Madrid, supporting KYC, client due diligence, AML risk management, and corporate documentation for a global business services provider.

Description

  • Implement internal procedures and protocols, including completing Viewpoint records and submitting time sheets
  • Manage clients’ legal documentation
  • Review applications to confirm compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Prepare AML risk reports and the AML Procedures Manual
  • Draft AML resolutions or minutes for AML plan approval and coordinate signature collection
  • Review AML transactions and respond to monitoring requests from the legal department
  • Review and update risk reports and the AML Procedures Manual
  • Develop training plans and corrective action plans
  • Support external AML audits
  • Collect and assess compliance information, background details, and risk appetite during client due diligence
  • Review identification, source of wealth, source of funds, and fund-traceability documentation, and advise on approval
  • Conduct integrity and reputational checks on client structures using World-Check, internet research, and press coverage
  • Request additional information from clients when required
  • Maintain relationships with servicers, lawyers, and client representatives throughout due diligence processes
  • Inform clients about issues that could delay or prevent due diligence and asset sales
  • Help prepare AML materials for board of directors meetings
  • Attend board meetings when required
  • Prepare AML resolutions for inclusion in board minutes
  • Document and archive completed work and update the relevant systems
  • Serve as a support resource and point of reference for junior staff and new joiners

Requirements

  • Fluent Spanish and English proficiency at B2/C1 level
  • Experience completing Viewpoint records and submitting time sheets
  • Knowledge of applicable AML laws and regulations
  • Experience or knowledge in preparing AML risk reports and Procedures Manuals
  • Knowledge of AML monitoring processes and external AML audits
  • Experience conducting client due diligence, including identification, source of wealth, source of funds, and fund tracing
  • Experience performing integrity and reputational checks using World-Check, internet research, and press coverage
  • Knowledge of legal structures and different types of legal entities
  • Broad and solid understanding of the local legal and regulatory framework
  • Ability to identify, understand, and communicate project-related risks
  • Ability to understand and provide comments on legal and tax documents
  • Strong language and formatting skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to research legislation and specialist subject areas
  • Legal qualification or another relevant professional qualification
  • Commercial and business-minded approach
  • Ability to prepare minutes, AML documentation, and other legal documents using templates, recordings, and historical data
  • Ability to tailor communication to different audiences and write clear, concise information
