Senior Data Scientist, Supply Chain Analytics (Remote, US)

Develop machine learning, forecasting, and AI solutions for Pursuit Aerospace’s aircraft-component supply chain. Improve inventory, customer delivery, production planning, and cost outcomes.

Opis

  • Create data, analytics, and AI solutions that advance SIOP transformation and improve inventory and customer service.
  • Build machine learning, statistical, forecasting, and time-series models for business and operational needs.
  • Improve inventory optimization, demand forecasting, clear-to-build analysis, on-time delivery, production planning, efficiency, and costs.
  • Carry out exploratory analysis, feature engineering, model selection, validation, optimization, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop predictive, prescriptive, generative AI, and large language model solutions when they offer measurable business value.
  • Build end-to-end data science products independently, from problem definition and data preparation through modeling, application development, deployment, and adoption.
  • Create analytical datasets and data transformation workflows with Python and SQL.
  • Clean, transform, and combine large datasets from enterprise systems.
  • Create dashboards, analytical applications, APIs, and decision-support tools.
  • Deliver production-ready solutions with testing, version control, monitoring, documentation, and maintainable code.
  • Use AWS, Snowflake, Spark, S3, and related cloud and data technologies.
  • Design data science solutions that connect with data lakes, ETL/ELT, streaming data, APIs, and cloud-native data platforms.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to define problems and deliver measurable gains in inventory, on-time delivery, and cost.
  • Keep production analytics assets accurate and reliable, and oversee analytics operations.
  • Raise data quality and integrity through continuous improvement practices.
  • Turn analytical findings into actionable recommendations and encourage their adoption across the business.
  • Travel 10–20%; working conditions also specify travel between locations or suppliers of up to 25%.

Zahteve

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 4 years in data science, solving complex business problems and independently building robust solutions that improve outcomes.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on SQL and Python experience for data analysis, transformation, and analytical solution development.
  • At least 4 years of experience building machine learning, demand forecasting, or time-series models.
  • Authorization to work full-time in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, machine learning modeling, and time-series analytics.
  • Experience independently developing and deploying machine learning, statistical, or time-series forecasting models.
  • Experience working with large, complex, imperfect datasets.
  • Experience designing and implementing data models and ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience delivering production-quality analytics or machine learning solutions with testing, version control, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Experience with AI-assisted product development and AI tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain analytics, such as demand forecasting, demand sensing, inventory management, and clear-to-build reporting.
  • Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and purchase order, production order, and inventory data.
  • Ability to move around a manufacturing plant while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel between locations or to suppliers.
