Aprašymas

  • Pursue payment from insurance payers on outstanding claims
  • Identify payment barriers and help accelerate cash collections
  • Manage collection activity for accounts in the assigned inventory
  • Apply account follow-up experience, strategies, and tools to resolve claims and secure payment
  • Refer unpaid claims to payer claims supervisors when standard follow-up does not produce results
  • Record client host-system information using the 5 W’s framework and applicable procedures
  • Transfer account notes into Amplify’s workflow platform
  • Apply the correct Amplify status codes to track issues and identify trends
  • Prepare first- and second-level denial appeals to support reversal and payment
  • Report payer denial patterns and other emerging trends to Management
  • Process assigned underpayments according to Management direction
  • Meet daily productivity and quality standards for the client and position
  • Review and analyze correspondence associated with assigned accounts
  • Communicate each day with team members, Management, and clients through email, phone, video meetings, and collaboration tools

Reikalavimai

  • Able to work independently from home in a fast-paced, changing, goal-focused environment
  • Experience with direct account follow-up or billing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG coding
  • Intermediate Excel experience is preferred
  • Able to respond to patient-account inquiries while protecting confidential information in conversations and written correspondence
  • Understanding of the complete healthcare revenue cycle
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to apply critical-thinking skills
  • Able to help resolve problems and inquiries while supporting positive customer interactions
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional hospital insurance collections training is a plus
  • Three to five years of collections experience in a hospital business office
  • Stable internet connection
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace without distractions
  • Access to required office equipment
  • Able to communicate daily with team members, Management, and clients through email, phone, video meetings, and other collaboration tools
