  • Recruit, lead, and coach Strategic Account Executives and Account Directors.
  • Guide team performance, professional development, and regular one-to-one meetings.
  • Set decision-making authority, account ownership, coverage depth, and backup plans.
  • Establish account-management standards and review strategic and active account plans.
  • Review quarterly business reviews, executive engagements, renewal plans, and expansion plans for quality.
  • Present the account portfolio’s performance and direction to executive leadership.
  • Lead executive escalation meetings to reach decisions and resolve issues.
  • Act as the initial escalation contact for account owners, surfacing significant risks and response options.
  • Coordinate planned handoffs from implementation through post-launch optimization.
  • Monitor go-live progress and contracted-to-live revenue ramps against forecasts.
  • Work with Implementation, Integration, Support, Product, Machine Learning, and Quality teams to address root causes.
  • Set account-health indicators and work with analytics partners to detect early signs of decline.
  • Partner with Sales on renewals, expansion initiatives, retention, pipeline growth, and go-live conversion.
  • Sponsor key accounts at the executive level and co-present business reviews.
  • Manage a small portfolio of accounts directly.
  • Demonstrate strategic ownership, coordination, sound judgment, strong relationships, and focus on account outcomes.

  • Bring at least 12 years of experience in account management, customer success, revenue cycle management, health system operations, or healthcare consulting.
  • Have at least five years of team leadership experience.
  • For Senior Director candidates, have managed senior account owners or managers and been accountable for retention and growth across an enterprise portfolio.
  • Understand medical coding and revenue cycle management in practice.
  • Be familiar with automation performance, denial trends, and coding accuracy.
  • Build trust with coding and Health Information Management leaders.
  • Have worked with large health systems, academic medical centers, or integrated delivery networks.
  • Show a track record of developing senior individual contributors into owners who take initiative.
  • Communicate credibly with health system C-suite and vice presidents, as well as company leadership.
  • Work confidently with performance data and AI-assisted tools.
  • Lead across a matrixed organization, including partner teams that do not report directly to you.
  • Bring an action-oriented, hands-on approach.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Complete a background check after accepting a job offer.
  • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or RN credentials—or equivalent hands-on experience—are a strong plus.
