Operations Specialist, HR Administration
Support HR administration, benefits, compliance, and employee engagement at Edgesource, a federal technology services provider. Coordinate employee lifecycle processes and improve internal operations.

- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, employee status changes, and offboarding.
- Administer benefits enrollment, life event changes, and open enrollment support.
- Work with Finance on payroll data, deductions, and employee changes.
- Keep employee records accurate, secure, and current in ADP WorkforceNow.
- Support compliance activities, including required postings, records retention, audits, training assignments, and handbook and policy updates.
- Process employment verification requests while protecting privacy.
- Coordinate vendor background checks and track them through completion.
- Plan and support employee engagement activities and events.
- Run rewards and recognition programs.
- Prepare and distribute company announcements, policy updates, and internal communications.
- Serve as the first point of contact for general employee questions and requests.
- Spot process gaps and develop, document, and implement improvements.
- Provide project support as needed.

- At least five years of experience in HR administration, operations, or a related support role.
- Working knowledge of benefits administration, onboarding, and core HR processes.
- Practical experience with ADP WorkforceNow and strong data accuracy.
- Familiarity with employment compliance basics, including I-9s, records retention, and confidentiality.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of process flows and process improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment and discretion with confidential employee information.
- Ability to recognize urgent work and prioritize accordingly.
- Work on-site three to five days per week and remotely one to two days per week.
- U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
- A bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience with background check platforms and employment verification vendors.
- Familiarity with work order or ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting employee engagement or recognition programs.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Visio, or Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- An HR certification such as aPHR, SHRM-CP, or PHR, or progress toward certification.
- Experience in a fast-paced or growing organization.
