ServiceNow Developer, Digital Platform — Remote, United States
Develop ServiceNow integrations, automation, and Snowflake data pipelines for Thrive’s AI, cybersecurity, and cloud managed-services platform. Support managed-service operations from solution design through production.
Description
- Create and maintain two-way ServiceNow integrations with external systems through REST, SOAP, Scripted REST APIs, and MID Server.
- Develop and support ServiceNow server-side logic, including Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, Transform Maps, and Import Sets.
- Use Flow Designer, subflows, actions, and Workflow to automate ITSM and service-delivery processes.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot Snowflake SQL for reporting and Client Portal data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Build and maintain Snowflake-to-ServiceNow pipelines for device, asset, and ticket synchronization and deduplication.
- Configure ACLs, roles, and data-security controls in line with least-privilege principles.
- Investigate production integration failures, synchronization gaps, and performance problems to determine root causes.
- Contribute to code reviews, manage update sets, and follow development-to-production release procedures.
- Maintain documentation for integration architecture, data mappings, runbooks, and technical decisions.
- Work with stakeholders to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong JavaScript skills, including experience with ServiceNow server-side scripting, GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideSystem, and ES5 constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to build ServiceNow REST integrations with authentication methods such as OAuth 2.0, Basic authentication, and API keys, along with JSON parsing and error handling.
- Working knowledge of SQL joins, aggregations, common table expressions, filtering, and basic query optimization.
- Experience using Flow Designer and other ServiceNow automation tools.
- Understanding of the ServiceNow data model, ACLs, and role-based security.
- Familiarity with update sets, instance cloning, and development workflows across multiple instances.
- Strong troubleshooting ability for issues spanning multiple systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: hands-on Snowflake experience with queries, views, stages, tasks, or streams.
- Preferred: experience in an MSP or IT services setting, or with RMM/PSA platforms such as NinjaOne or ConnectWise.
- Preferred: familiarity with CMDB, IRE, or data-deduplication strategies.
- Preferred: exposure to ServiceNow ITSM, CSM, or Service Portal development.
- Preferred: experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred: background in Python or another scripting language used for data work.
- Preferred: ServiceNow certifications such as CSA or CAD; Implementation Specialist certification is a plus.
