Senior Business Development Specialist – United States (Remote)

Drive Dow’s materials science growth across ICT and Wire & Cable markets. Build customer relationships, develop applications, and convert commercial opportunities.

Description

  • Find, qualify, and advance customer and application opportunities that support growth priorities.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline covering prospects, new projects, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Work with Marketing to assess market trends, customer needs, and priority growth segments.
  • Collaborate with Technical Service & Development on application feasibility, product trials, and commercialization.
  • Create and implement market penetration plans for new applications and customer accounts.
  • Build relationships with customer decision-makers and influencers to identify business opportunities.
  • Collect, evaluate, and share market intelligence, competitive findings, and customer feedback.
  • Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through qualification, value proposition design, proposals, and commercial launch.
  • Bring cross-functional teams together to execute new business development programs.
  • Contribute to forecasting, pipeline oversight, and business planning for growth initiatives and customer acquisition.
  • Achieve growth objectives through customer wins, application development, and market expansion.
  • Stay current on industry developments, customer technologies, and competitor offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above the U.S. E5, Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, or Sergeant level.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Authorization to work legally in the United States.
  • No visa sponsorship or support is available, including for U.S. permanent residency applications.
  • Degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Background in B2B sales, business development, market development, or application development.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic-thinking ability.
  • Ability to work across Marketing, Technical Service & Development, Product Management, and Supply Chain.
  • Effective relationship management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
