Freelance Legal Interpreter – U.S. Immigration Proceedings
Provide remote interpretation for U.S. immigration court hearings, including asylum, removal, bond, and related proceedings. Support cases across U.S. time zones through simultaneous, consecutive, and sight translation.
Description
- Deliver remote interpretation for U.S. immigration court hearings
- Support hearings across multiple U.S. time zones from the selected location
- Interpret asylum, removal, credible fear, bond, and related proceedings
- Perform simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation
Requirements
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident
- Have at least one year of judicial-environment interpreting experience
- Be able to interpret for immigration courts
- Have experience with simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation
- Submit a resume and brief overview of judicial or legal interpreting experience
- Include language pair(s), certification(s), and availability with the application
