Area Sales Manager, Channel – Texas (Remote)

Lead ABB’s electrical product channel growth across Texas and nearby territories. Oversee sales teams, partner development, key accounts, and commercial performance.

Description

  • Develop customer-facing implementation strategies to grow ABB portfolio sales across the assigned geography.
  • Meet or exceed individual business-unit sales targets while maximizing geographic net margin.
  • Support C&I planning and align strategies with district and regional C&I objectives.
  • Contribute to talent management and recruitment activities.
  • Coach team members on winning business and building trusted customer relationships.
  • Lead performance management and annual reviews for all C&I sales personnel.
  • Create and deliver employee development plans, including technical and professional training.
  • Coach sales teams to strengthen decision-making, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate go-to-market roadmaps for new product launches with product marketing.
  • Review channel partners’ quarterly progress, results, and growth requirements.
  • Act as the escalation point for channel commercial decisions.
  • Manage key local account relationships and performance.
  • Partner with the District Sales Manager to assess channel loyalty, strength, and coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or business.
  • At least 10 years of related experience.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Senior-level account management experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience quoting or selling commercial, industrial, and residential projects to electrical contractors.
  • Ability to travel 25%–50% throughout the territory as required.
  • The territory covers Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
  • Must already hold work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States.
