Advise East Coast customers on SUSE’s enterprise Linux, Kubernetes, and open-source infrastructure solutions. Support technical sales with solution design, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.

- Advise customers and partners as a technical resource.
- Match SUSE solutions to customers’ business goals and technical needs.
- Work with regional sales and partner teams to design solutions and deliver technical excellence.
- Contribute to sales presentations, product demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical inquiries.
- Evaluate customer needs, gaps, opportunities, and challenges.
- Lead technical deal progression from initial qualification through closing.
- Coordinate technical validation, presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, objection handling, and technical close activities.
- Share customer feedback with Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams.
- Develop account plans with sales, partners, and customer success teams.
- Support go-to-market and marketing work through presentations, blog posts, speaking engagements, and booth demonstrations.
- Assess competitors and shape strategies that differentiate SUSE solutions.
- Prepare technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Coach pre-sales colleagues and deliver technical learning for internal teams.
- Keep CRM records current, including opportunity activity, use cases, success criteria, technical close status, and next steps.
- Continue professional development and build deeper knowledge of SUSE’s value proposition.

- Background in technical consulting, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture focused on enterprise software.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux systems, open-source software, cloud computing, and container technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to explain complex technical solutions clearly to varied audiences, including C-suite executives.
- Experience developing technical demonstrations and whitepapers.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with sales, engineering, and customer success teams.
- Experience designing and delivering complex enterprise solutions for scalability, security, and reliability.
- Excellent consultative selling skills.
- Skill in competitor analysis and positioning solutions.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Clari.
