Senior Transport Solutions Business Development Manager

Descriere

  • Build and deliver the growth plan for domestic and cross-border ground transportation in North Vietnam
  • Develop a qualified pipeline by identifying customers and corridors with scalable transport demand
  • Manage opportunities from qualification to negotiation and close, maintaining accurate CRM records and forecasts
  • Lead solution design, vendor coordination, and pricing for domestic and cross-border opportunities
  • Create cost models and operating solutions that account for routes, capacity, and service needs
  • Ensure proposals are competitive, operationally viable, profitable, and aligned with internal requirements
  • Obtain required approvals and provide implementation teams with a thorough handover of awarded business
  • Work with Procurement to develop a competitive, reliable, and compliant vendor network
  • Lead cross-functional teams and set governance for opportunity, pricing, sourcing, and implementation decisions
  • Represent MGF in management reviews, reporting performance, pipeline, risks, and resource priorities
  • Grow profitable revenue and gross profit across the MGF portfolio
  • Develop and convert cross-border opportunities between China and Vietnam
  • Maintain quotation quality, competitiveness, margin quality, and turnaround time
  • Improve carrier cost competitiveness, capacity reliability, and vendor service performance
  • Ensure operational feasibility, strong implementation handovers, and compliance with pricing, procurement, legal, credit, and approval processes
  • Build, lead, and develop a capable team as the business expands

Cerințe

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Typically at least 7 years of relevant experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, contract logistics, sourcing, pricing, solution design, or business development, including manager or senior specialist experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in domestic transportation pricing and carrier sourcing for FCL, FTL, and LCL/LTL solutions
  • Track record of business development and customer solution creation in ground transportation
  • Cross-border transportation experience, especially China-to-Vietnam, is strongly preferred
  • An established network of customers, carriers, or logistics partners in North Vietnam and/or South China is a strong advantage
  • Experience winning or developing large, complex, or multinational customer opportunities is an advantage
  • Experience leading people, projects, or cross-functional commercial teams; prior direct people management is preferred
  • Advanced transport cost modelling, pricing, and margin analysis skills
  • Strong carrier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor relationship management skills
  • Ability to turn customer requirements into workable operating models and persuasive commercial proposals
  • Strong business development, consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of North Vietnam's industrial markets and major domestic and border-linked corridors
  • Working knowledge of cross-border documentation, customs dependencies, Incoterms, and operational risks
  • Ability to set strategy, translate it into priorities, and drive disciplined execution
  • Ability to build teams, coach talent, delegate effectively, and manage performance
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across functions, countries, and seniority levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with confidence using CRM, transport, and reporting systems
  • High integrity and sound judgment in pricing, supplier selection, and customer commitments
  • Fluent Vietnamese and strong written and spoken business English
  • Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage
  • Based in Hanoi, with regular travel across North Vietnam, border locations, customer and vendor sites, and China when business needs and company policy allow
