Descriere

  • Direct the Engineering organization and guide its continued development
  • Establish a strong second leadership layer across Engineering and team leadership
  • Recruit capable engineering leaders
  • Refine structures, responsibilities, and ownership to support efficient Engineering growth
  • Form project and product teams with the technical expertise required for each initiative
  • Advance software engineering by bringing hardware and software development together within a software-defined approach
  • Share accountability for the technology strategy behind new products
  • Ensure development work creates an architectural base for a scalable, extensible product portfolio
  • Improve collaboration and clarify responsibilities between Engineering and Product Management
  • Partner with Business Development and Product to evaluate customer requirements for technical feasibility, delivery effort, and strategic alignment
  • Serve as a technical advisor to the founder and management team

Cerințe

  • Several years of experience leading and managing technical organizations
  • A track record of building or scaling Engineering teams
  • Deep defence-sector experience and a strong understanding of military users, requirements, and operating environments
  • A software-defined perspective paired with a solid understanding of physical systems
  • Experience delivering complex products that closely integrate hardware and software
  • Ideally, exposure to embedded software, real-time systems, robotics, autonomous systems, or similar cyber-physical technologies
  • Experience with hardware development, including electronics, mechanics, or composite materials
  • Enough technical depth to evaluate architecture and lead experienced engineers technically
  • Experience in a rapidly growing start-up or scale-up is a strong advantage
  • Willingness to work regularly in person with the Engineering team in Munich
