Senior Services Engineer – Meiningen (Hybrid)
Support ADTRAN telecom customers in Meiningen across hardware and software deployments. Use Linux, Docker, networking, security, and troubleshooting expertise to deliver customer installations and resolve technical issues.

- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to a German Tier 1 customer using ADTRAN hardware and software.
- Coordinate customer testing, product demonstrations, and homologation activities with the customer’s product specialists.
- Support on-site and remote installation, configuration, and commissioning of ADTRAN solutions.
- Direct technical specialists and partner companies during field assignments and troubleshooting work.
- Manage and track customer requests through the ADTRAN ticketing system.
- Use systematic troubleshooting practices to resolve customer problems effectively and durably.
- Investigate system environments involving Linux, Docker infrastructure, and higher-level software platforms.
- Create and configure hardened Linux distributions for customer-specific solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated installation and deployment workflows.
- Containerize applications with Docker and handle the development, operation, maintenance, and debugging of containerized services.
- Integrate application software into dedicated virtual-machine environments for customers.
- Support security initiatives covering system hardening, access management, and firewall setup.
- Record technical problems, resolutions, and workarounds, and communicate relevant findings to the team.
- Collaborate with software development teams to investigate and resolve technical questions.
- Design, organize, and deliver technical training for customers and internal colleagues.
- Organize, facilitate, and document customer meetings, technical reviews, and issue-resolution sessions.
- Train, mentor, and technically support apprentices and dual-study students.
- Take part in the technical on-call rotation.

- Bring at least three years of experience in technical support, IT, or a comparable technical discipline.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of Linux, IP networking, and routing.
- Communicate confidently in presentations and professional discussions.
- Work effectively with customers and a broad range of stakeholders.
- Be prepared to travel occasionally.
- Hold a Class B driving license.
- Remain flexible regarding working hours.
- Apply strong analytical ability with a structured and proactive work style.

- Have very good written and spoken German skills and good English proficiency.
