Install, upgrade, maintain, and repair instruments at customer sites.
Troubleshoot a range of hardware and software issues, from routine to complex.
Coordinate work schedules with colleagues, service operations, and management.
Train customers to operate instruments safely and effectively.
Respond to technical questions by phone and email.
Submit service and expense reports accurately and on time.
Deliver a high standard of customer care to build satisfaction and loyalty.
Share sales leads with the account manager.
Send feedback to support teams to improve system documentation and procedures.
Travel up to 30% of the time, mainly to customer sites in Ireland.
Provide occasional support to colleagues in the UK and Europe.

Талаптар

A bachelor’s degree, or preferably a master’s degree, in mechanical or electronic engineering is typically required; comparable experience in a high-tech environment may also qualify.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Able to work independently, provide service-minded customer support, and communicate with customers at a highly academic level.
Highly organized, self-sufficient, motivated, and capable of handling administrative tasks.
Knowledge of electron microscopes is an advantage.
A clean driving licence is required.
Some personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
