Technical Support Engineer - New York City Hybrid

Support Lumana’s AI video security platform by diagnosing networking, edge-device, and cloud infrastructure issues. Improve service reliability through automation, monitoring, and coordinated incident resolution.

Description

  • Lead technical troubleshooting and field diagnostics for networks, edge devices, infrastructure, and system integrations
  • Determine the causes of system and network failures, resolve them, and reduce the risk of recurrence
  • Operate secure, dependable, scalable infrastructure across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Deploy and maintain servers, virtual machines, operating systems, storage, and related infrastructure
  • Administer routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and WAN connections
  • Track system and network performance, manage incidents, and support high availability for real-time video and AI workloads
  • Work with Engineering, QA, and Product to identify defects, verify fixes, and strengthen platform reliability
  • Plan and execute testing for new hardware and software in production-like environments
  • Build scripts, diagnostic tools, monitoring solutions, and automation for support operations
  • Maintain technical documentation, investigation records, and internal knowledge bases

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, or IT operations
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewall, and network connectivity issues
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, networking, systems engineering, or a related discipline
  • Able to troubleshoot urgent issues with composure, speed, and accuracy
  • Strong analytical, written communication, and documentation abilities
  • Residence in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone
  • Availability for the designated evening and weekend schedule
  • Experience supporting IP camera systems or edge-connected devices is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Linux-based systems is preferred
  • Ability to write scripts in Python or comparable automation tools is preferred
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or Security+ are preferred
