Description

  • Lead multiple engineering teams through AI-assisted development practices and promote effective AI-forward ways of working
  • Deliver software across developer experience, the software development lifecycle, and core business initiatives
  • Set delivery commitments, monitor progress, and remain accountable for outcomes
  • Oversee hiring, performance management, team culture, engagement, budgets, and cost control
  • Coach team leads and senior engineers to strengthen leadership and technical capability
  • Reallocate people and capacity across teams as business priorities change
  • Surface staffing constraints and escalate resourcing risks to senior leadership
  • Drive internal adoption, enablement, and readiness for new releases
  • Work with Product, Support, Customer Success, and other teams on documentation, training, communication, and readiness
  • Make technology decisions that balance business needs, engineering considerations, architecture, and Benevity’s governance standards
  • Coordinate priorities and delivery schedules with product management
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reporting aligned with Benevity’s Scorecard and Playbook
  • Apply AI tools to planning, reporting, analysis, and communication while helping teams adopt them
  • Protect engineering innovation time and guide promising PI projects through completion

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with agentic and AI-assisted software development
  • Experience applying AI tools to expand leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple engineering teams working with cloud technologies
  • End-to-end experience delivering enterprise SaaS products at scale
  • A strong delivery focus with accountability across competing priorities
  • Experience driving internal adoption and enablement for new tools, platforms, or releases
  • Ability to lead teams across developer experience, SDLC, and product-facing work while shifting capacity between them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize effectively
  • Experience developing people, strengthening team culture and engagement, and building technology teams in high-growth companies
  • Sufficient technical depth, including code-level understanding, to test assumptions and guide technology decisions
  • Empathy, positivity, and self-awareness
  • Enthusiasm for adaptable software development methodologies
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and industry best practices
