Senior Workday Functional Solutions Architect — San Jose Onsite

Lead Workday HCM architecture, configuration, security, and implementation initiatives across core HR and specialized modules. Partner with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant HR technology solutions.

Description

  • Lead Workday functional architecture by translating business needs into scalable designs across HCM modules
  • Configure business processes, security groups, and calculated fields for HR, Benefits, Talent, Compensation, and Security
  • Collaborate with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and other stakeholders to define requirements and recommend Workday-native solutions
  • Own the Workday security framework, including policies, security groups, segregation-of-duties controls, and access audits
  • Provide architectural direction for acquisitions, reorganizations, multinational rollouts, and new module deployments
  • Create and maintain solution specifications, configuration workbooks, process maps, and security matrices
  • Coach junior analysts and configuration specialists while serving as the escalation point for complex functional and security matters
  • Maintain data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across Workday modules
  • Assess and recommend Workday modules and capabilities that support business strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least seven years of hands-on Workday HCM experience, including three or more years as a solutions architect, lead configurator, or senior functional consultant
  • Advanced functional knowledge of multiple Workday areas, including Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent and Performance, Recruiting, Security, and Reporting
  • Track record of leading complete Workday implementations, module deployments, or large-scale transformation programs
  • Working knowledge of EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, reporting, and BIRT tools
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder-management abilities, with clear communication across technical and executive audiences
  • Experience applying change-management practices and release-testing processes
  • Workday Pro certification in one or more relevant areas is preferred
