Senior Manager, Accounting Operations (Remote - New York)

Lead accounting operations for Annie Aesthetic’s U.S. medical aesthetics and functional health portfolio, overseeing AP, payroll, and disbursements. Scale controls, systems, automation, and acquisition integrations across the accounting function.

Description

  • Lead end-to-end accounting operations across accounts payable, payroll, and disbursements
  • Ensure accurate, timely vendor payments, payroll, commissions, and reimbursements
  • Define and enforce SLAs, controls, and escalation paths for accounting operations
  • Own vendor master data, payment accuracy, and payroll integrity
  • Build standardized, scalable AP and payroll processes
  • Remove manual work, reduce risk, and improve cycle times
  • Create and maintain SOPs and documentation for consistency and audit readiness
  • Integrate acquired clinics into accounting operations workflows
  • Manage and optimize AP, payroll, expense, and disbursement systems, including NetSuite, Ramp, and payroll platforms
  • Advance automation and workflow improvements
  • Keep operational systems aligned with the general ledger
  • Record AP and payroll activity accurately and on time during monthly close
  • Oversee operational accounting accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Maintain approval workflows, segregation of duties, and other internal controls
  • Support audits, lender requests, and diligence activities
  • Partner with Finance leadership on cash-outflow management and forecasting
  • Analyze disbursement trends to identify risks and inefficiencies
  • Coordinate payment timing with working-capital strategy and business needs
  • Lead, develop, and expand the accounting operations team
  • Set clear expectations for performance, timelines, and quality
  • Drive continuous improvement and resolve vendor, employee, and internal escalations
  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, HR, and Operations
  • Support compensation structures, commission calculations, and payroll initiatives
  • Serve as the primary finance partner for payment and payroll matters

Requirements

  • Active CPA certification
  • At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including work in acquisition-driven or private equity-backed environments
  • Experience with multi-entity, multi-location accounting and financial reporting
  • Operational, process-focused approach to accounting
  • Ability to scale workflows in a high-growth environment
  • Clear communication skills and a strong focus on accountability
  • Solid knowledge of internal controls
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented working style
  • Familiarity with acquisition integrations, audit support, and lender reporting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements
