Senior Issue Management Coordinator at TD (Remote)

Lead fraud, KYC, and compliance remediation at TD in a senior remote role. Oversee operational teams, corrective action plans, risk controls, and regulatory readiness.

Description

  • Support oversight of fraud prevention, insider threats, and Know Your Customer (KYC) activities
  • Coordinate compliance issue remediation and corrective action plans
  • Work with business lines and second-line-of-defense teams to drive accountability and restore compliance
  • Manage a departmental unit within Collection/Fraud Operations
  • Oversee supervisors and exempt and non-exempt employee teams
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching through subordinate supervisors
  • Set goals and objectives for routine operations and special projects
  • Create plans to manage operational performance and achieve near- and long-term objectives
  • Track completion of goals, objectives, and deadlines
  • Investigate and resolve issues affecting multiple operational and corporate areas
  • Delegate responsibilities and authority to improve performance, responsiveness, and efficiency
  • Track progress against goals and project milestones
  • Coordinate operational communications with internal and external groups
  • Create policy and procedure changes that strengthen communication
  • Lead and develop employees, advising on staffing, appraisals, salary recommendations, promotions, and terminations
  • Assess policies and recommend and implement approved enhancements
  • Support bank conversions through project-plan maintenance, task completion, and function migrations
  • Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, risk requirements, and corporate standards
  • Help achieve satisfactory audit and examination results
  • Create and execute strategic plans while providing leadership and corporate direction
  • Implement unit changes and reorganizations to improve operational performance and efficiency
  • Help establish operational goals and meet performance standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least seven years of related experience
  • Operational management experience in the relevant operational area
  • Deep knowledge of principles, practices, policies, and procedures for the managed operations
  • Strong leadership, delegation, coaching, and mentoring abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of applicable banking rules and policies
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions inside and outside established policy
  • Ability to create policies and procedures that address current and anticipated business-environment changes
  • Experience managing issues across the full Issue Management Lifecycle: identification, assessment, remediation, validation, and closure
  • Strong understanding of Risk and Control Frameworks, including control design, effectiveness assessment, governance, and oversight
  • Proven ability to conduct and lead root-cause analyses
  • Ability to collaborate across business, compliance, risk, operations, audit, legal, and technology functions
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience leading and coordinating projects and strategic initiatives
  • Working knowledge of regulatory expectations, audit processes, and financial-services risk management
  • Ability to turn complex issues into clear, concise documentation for executives
  • Strong data interpretation, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated executive presence
  • Strong organizational-management skills
  • Ability to build relationships, encourage collaboration, and establish accountability
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented professional with sound judgment and the ability to work independently
  • Availability for occasional domestic travel; international travel is not required
