Senior DoD Capture Manager, Remote United States

Lead Department of Defense opportunity development, capture planning, and proposal strategy at Odyssey. Help advance defense engineering and warfighter-readiness initiatives.

Description

  • Manage assigned capture efforts
  • Evaluate opportunities for the corporate funnel and pipeline
  • Collect, assess, and validate customer requirements
  • Identify customer needs, concerns, and constraints
  • Convert requirements into win strategies and compelling value propositions
  • Support proposal development with capture artifacts and participation in kickoff and color team reviews
  • Define or oversee conceptual solutions and winning strategies, including themes and storyboards
  • Create, document, and execute capture management plans
  • Perform requirement, competitive, capability, gap, prime-versus-subcontractor, price-to-win, and teaming analyses
  • Develop call plans and other elements of effective capture programs
  • Lead capture lifecycle and stage reviews with executive leadership and functional managers
  • Assess post-award feedback and recommend improvements to capture processes
  • Create and maintain customer, partner, and competitor profiles
  • Help achieve annual sales and profitability objectives
  • Support short-, medium-, and long-term strategies and brief executive leadership at offsite meetings
  • Strengthen Odyssey’s reputation and industry engagement
  • Report to the Executive Director of Business Development and Capture

Requirements

  • US citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline
  • Three to five years of comparable experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Prior business development or capture experience in Department of Defense markets
  • Previous experience managing the delivery of technical and management services
  • Familiarity with the DoD acquisition process
  • Understanding of key DoD markets
  • Experience with multiple proposal formats, including HTROs, technical narratives, and oral presentations
  • Ability to negotiate nondisclosure agreements and teaming agreements
  • Demonstrated use of capture tools and processes
  • Strong ability to interpret technical RFIs and RFPs
  • Business development and proposal-writing experience in technical fields
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience overseeing the delivery of technical and management services
  • Proficiency managing opportunity funnels and pipelines
  • Ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships
  • Strong leadership and team-management capabilities
