IT Support Technician - Onsite, Webb City, Missouri

Provides hands-on and remote IT support for a manufacturing facility, covering hardware, software, networks, and Active Directory. Maintains systems, resolves technical issues, and assists employees across multiple support channels.

Description

  • Support manufacturing plant employees with hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and related software
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems
  • Monitor computer systems and networks to support performance and security
  • Record IT procedures, processes, and troubleshooting solutions
  • Work with IT colleagues to implement and maintain organizational IT policies and procedures
  • Report progress and completion status to managers and users
  • Assist employees by phone, email, chat, ticketing system, onsite, and remotely
  • Support software rollouts, installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and license management
  • Maintain computers, laptops, phones, printers, conference rooms, servers, and network equipment
  • Create and manage user accounts and group memberships in Active Directory
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Ethernet and fiber-optic cabling
  • Assess, prioritize, resolve, and escalate technical issues and service requests
  • Maintain records for hardware and component inventory and distribution
  • Keep the work area clean and organized
  • Contribute to projects and complete other assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate degree in an IT or related technical field
  • Previous experience working with computers, Microsoft applications, and networks
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and other Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work urgently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including antivirus, backup, and data recovery solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of computer and network hardware, including switches and routers
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and keep pace with changing technologies
  • Ability to safely operate scissor lifts for network-line installation and equipment mounting
