Senior Developer Advocate at Neo4j - California Remote

Drive Neo4j adoption among startups in the San Francisco Bay Area through technical education, content, and community engagement. Partner with developers, startup leaders, product teams, and engineering teams to strengthen the developer ecosystem.

Description

  • Build relationships with startup founders, engineers, and technical leaders across the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Handle startup questions and support as the primary contact
  • Connect Neo4j with the wider startup and developer community
  • Produce technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation
  • Create code samples, product demonstrations, and SDKs
  • Deliver technical presentations, webinars, and workshops at developer events
  • Promote Neo4j products and technologies to developers
  • Collect developer feedback and share insights with product and engineering teams
  • Work with product management to reflect developer needs in product planning
  • Build and oversee developer forums, communities, and user groups
  • Organize and attend developer events, meetups, and hackathons
  • Encourage collaboration and provide support across the developer community
  • Create educational content, training resources, and developer documentation
  • Offer developers practical guidance and recommended best practices
  • Lead technical workshops and training sessions
  • Measure developer engagement and advocacy outcomes through data and analytics
  • Turn performance data into recommendations for ongoing improvement
  • Produce recurring reports on developer community performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least five years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or a comparable technical position
  • Advanced technical knowledge and proficiency with relevant technologies
  • Outstanding public speaking, presentation, and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to create written content, videos, and code samples
  • Strong planning, project management, and organizational capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience building technical communities
  • Enthusiasm for technology and cultivating an active developer community
