English to Romanian Linguist and Copy Editor – Product Marketing UI Content
Malay linguist and copy editor responsible for translating, editing, and post-editing machine-translated marketing, UI, product, and support content. Contributing remotely to Welo Global’s multilingual AI and localization programs.
Description
- Translate, copy-edit, and post-edit machine-translated marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal content
- Contribute to a long-term localization project for a multinational client
- Process an expected workload of more than 5,000 words per week
- Work in the client’s CAT tool after completing onboarding training
- Contribute to prominent international projects
- Build and sustain a long-term working relationship with Welo Global
Requirements
- Native or near-native Malay proficiency and excellent English skills
- At least two years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related discipline, or at least five years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
- Experience translating English into Malay for informational, marketing, UI, product, and support materials
- Practical experience with CAT tools
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality translations while meeting deadlines in a fast-moving localization environment
- Clear communication, responsiveness, dependability, and willingness to incorporate feedback and revisions
- Capacity to work as a freelancer or independent contractor
