Description

  • Manage the full Accounts Receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash allocation, open items, and the AR subledger
  • Reconcile the AR subledger with the general ledger during close
  • Oversee Stripe payouts, fees, failed payments, refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
  • Complete Stripe reconciliations as part of the monthly close
  • Investigate unmatched transactions and reconciliation variances
  • Maintain accurate aging records and prepare AR close schedules with the Senior R2R Accountant
  • Run dunning workflows, manage overdue invoices, and coordinate Debtist handovers across markets
  • Track collection cases, recoveries, settlements, and follow-up actions
  • Process credit notes and write-offs within established policies and approval limits
  • Verify customer and invoice data and apply VAT rules across markets
  • Handle standard VAT exceptions and escalate cases requiring clarification
  • Manage requests in the shared ticket queue, prioritizing urgency and financial impact
  • Resolve routine cases within the defined 48-hour service standard
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, controls, and handover documentation
  • Identify recurring errors and repetitive manual work
  • Establish decision rules and support the testing and implementation of automation and AI workflows
  • Develop scalable AR processes as plancraft expands across Europe
  • Partner with Finance and Customer Success teams

Requirements

  • Approximately two or more years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable or a closely related accounting role
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Working knowledge of invoicing, cash allocation, open items, dunning, credit notes, and month-end reconciliation
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and reconcile transactions with accounting records
  • Experience using a payment platform such as Stripe
  • Experience reconciling payment data with an ERP or accounting system
  • Structured, accurate, and proactive approach to work
  • Comfort working with documented, ticket-based processes in a remote environment
  • Interest in automation and AI while preserving financial controls
  • Knowledge of VAT applied to receivables across European markets
  • Experience handling AR across multiple countries or in a shared-service environment
  • Background in SaaS, subscription, or another digital business
  • Existing legal authorization to work in the EU or the specific country where the role is based
  • An additional European language, such as Spanish, Italian, or German, is a plus
  • Experience with Debtist, automation or AI, aged AR cleanup, audit preparation, historical reconciliations, accounting-system migration, Jira, Zendesk, or Notion is a plus
