Account Development Representative (Onsite) - Austin

Kong Inc. is hiring an onsite Account Development Representative in Austin to run inbound and outbound campaigns, qualify prospects, schedule sales meetings, and build early-stage pipeline.

Description

  • Partner with Sales to plan and execute inbound and outbound campaigns from initial concept through qualified calls
  • Build sales and product expertise while engaging IT and business decision-makers by phone, video, LinkedIn, and email
  • Maintain accurate lead and prospect activity records in Salesforce
  • Schedule qualified introductory meetings for the Sales team
  • Nurture early-stage opportunities that may develop into future pipeline
  • Achieve and surpass monthly and quarterly opportunity quotas
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Account Executives
  • Pursue ongoing professional development
  • Handle additional responsibilities assigned by the manager
  • Complete sales boot camp training and learn Kong’s product portfolio
  • Develop confidence discussing Kong’s solutions with clients by phone
  • Partner with Account Executives on opportunities through call shadowing and role-play practice
  • Meet ramp quota expectations and apply established sales methodologies
  • Share process-improvement insights with the Account Development and Marketing teams

Requirements

  • At least 1–2 years of strong sales or customer-facing experience
  • Demonstrated success meeting and exceeding goals
  • Comfort with prospecting, cold calling, and following up on inbound leads
  • Ability and willingness to learn, adapt, and share lessons across the organization
  • Receptiveness to feedback and ability to incorporate it into daily work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong active-listening abilities
  • High work ethic, curiosity, and determination to succeed
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to work independently while benefiting from coaching
  • Motivation to work in a driven, fast-paced environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the country where the role is based
